Conference Speakers

Greg Gray

Brother Greg is the son of Pastor Dan Gray and serves as our pastor.  He previously served on staff here at Calvary as music and youth director.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Science Degree in Education from Old Dominion University.  In 2003 after surrendering to God’s call to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ Greg and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Knoxville, TN to attend Crown Seminary.  There Brother Greg earned the Master of Ministry Degree and Master of Biblical Studies Degree.  After seminary training and working in the ministry of Temple Baptist Church and The Crown College of the Bible of Powell, TN he and  Jennifer, along with their children, Nathaniel, Carson, and Jocelyn returned home to join the staff here at Calvary in February of 2013. In July of 2018, the church called him to be their pastor.

Tim Cruse

Tim Cruse has been the pastor of Shining Light Baptist Church in Monroe, NC since March 7, 1990. He and his wife Rebekah have 10 children and 15 grandchildren. God has blessed the church with a staff of 52 co-laborers serving on a 225 acre multi-campus Christian school, children’s home, and preschools. The next step God is leading in is a college and seminary.

Scott Carsley

Scott Carsley along with his wife Jennifer founded The Edge Christian Camp in 2016, a year-round camp, conference, and retreat center, which sits on 283 acres in Spring Grove VA. Before then God has giving Scott the opportunity to work in the field of Project Engineering, Program Management, Financial Management, and Strategic & Master Planning. God has given Scott the opportunity in the past few years in supporting Pastor’s and business owners.

Tommy Alvis

With more than 20 years of experience in tax and client services, Tommy focuses on providing the best customer service experience possible coupled with top-level financial and tax guidance. His clients include individuals and families, business owners, and Fortune 50 corporations. He is well-versed in preparing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, developing and demonstrating income and loss allocation methods for partnership agreements, and preparing tax savings strategies.

Terry Munday

Terry Munday has been called the expert on teaching the foundational principles of fundraising. He served 20 years as Vice-President for University Advancement at Indiana Wesleyan University. While semi-retired, he continues to write and serve as a consultant to IWU, his local church, and other Christian non-profit organizations. He has helped over 100 organizations raise more than $250 million.
